General Overview

Annapurna is a Sanskrit word. It has two words Anna + Purna separately. Where "Anna" stands for GRAIN and "Purna" stands for FULL, thus the meaning for the word is "Full OF GRAINS" in common Nepali language. This is also popular as “GODDESS OF THE HARVEST” in Nepal. This is one of the famous and popular trekking routes lies on the central-north part of Nepal. This trekking region is considered one of the best treks in the world, though road construction is threatening its reputation and its future as a classic trek. Yet no one disputes that the sceneries are outstanding.
Annapurna Base Camp trek takes you through distinct regional scenery of rivers, flora, fauna and above all - mountains. Annapurna Base camp Trekking is also known as Annapurna Sanctuary. There are many Mountains with different height altitude peaks such as Annapurna south, Machapuchare (Fishtail) 6,993m, Mt. Annapurna II 7,939m, Mt. Annapurna III 7,555m, Mt. Annapurna IV 7,525m, Mt. Lamjung Himal 6,986m, Mt. Hiunchuli 6441m, etc also numbers of known/un-known peaks in Annapurna region. You will enjoy with nature, culture, localities and friendly peoples who are inhabitants of the area. Once you are on this area don’t miss to take natural hot bath, which is an amazing enjoyable thing in your lifetime. The ABC trek can do in-between 10 - 12 days so it will be depending on your hiking speed and time Limit. This is easy- classic trek on Annapurna region.

Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome at Kathmandu airport and drive to Hotel, short briefing about the programs and overnight at hotel on B/B

Day 02: Preparation for Trekking after breakfast meet the tour guide and visit some heritage sites in Kathmandu, overnight at hotel on B/B

Day 03: Fly or drive to Pokhara and overnight at hotel on B/B

Day 04: Pokhara - Nayapul drive – Tikhedhunga 1577 m
This is the day with scenic drive from Pokhara, it takes approx 1:30 hrs to reach Nayapul, we will trek to Tikhedhunga it takes about 4 hours, and this is a kind of experimental trekking for the first day which is inclined up. We will pass four different villages along the trails with field terraces,  after reaching Tikhedhunga we will check in to lodge. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 05: Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani 2855 m
Early morning we will have breakfast and continues our trek ascent to Ulleri (2017 m) it may takes about 2 hours, from where we will see the mountains Hiunchuli and Annapurna south. Our trek continues through Ulleri, Banthati and forest until the stream and it goes uphill to Nangethanti. We will have a lunch break at Nangethanti. After lunch the trek goes ascent for more 1:30 hours and we reaches at Ghorepani, from this point we will enjoy all major peaks of Annapurna ranges and Dhaulagiri.  Just after reaching Ghorepani we will check in to lodge. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 06: Sunrise trek to Poon hill and walk down to Ghorepani – Tadapani 2630m
We will wake up early in the morning for sunrise trek to Poon-hill. It is about an hour uphill to reach the view tower at the top of the hill. From where we will enjoy the panoramic views of all Annapurna ranges including Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Manaslu (8156m) and Annpurna I (8091 m) the  seventh, eighth and ninth highest mountains in the world . From the view point we will enjoy the deepest gorge of the world i.e. 7 KM deep and is called kaligandaki valley. Before sunrise you may feel a bit cold need to be prepared with enough warm clothing. We may spend about an hour or more at the top and will be back to lodge for breakfast. After breakfast our trek goes first ascent for about three quarters with the similar height of Poonhill at Gurung hill and trail continues slightly downhill to Deurali for about another 1 hour. Now our trail goes all the way descent to Banthanti at the bank of Burundi Khola. We will have lunch and after lunch our trail goes uphill slightly and again steep down to meet other side of the Khola. After crossing a small bridge our last part of the day goes steep uphill for about an hour and we will reach to our camp site in between the Rhododendron forest and which will be the Tadapani we will check into lodge. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 07: Tadapani – Chhomrong (2150 m)
After breakfast our trek goes steep downhill through Rhododendron forest and crosses two small villages with farm terraces before crossing Kimrung Khola and it may takes 2 hours from Tadapani. After crossing Bridge the trail goes uphill about half an hour to reach our lunch place. After lunch our trail continues uphill to our camp site, it may take about two hours on easy pace. After reaching Chhomrong we will enjoy the 90 degree view of Hiunchuli, Machapuchhre, and Annapurna South and other mountains. After reaching their check into lodge. Day 08: Chhomrong - Bamboo (2310 m)
Now our first step goes downhill all the way to meet another stream for about forty-fifty minutes and goes up hill about three quarters to get Sinuwa village.  We can see beautiful views of the mountains and valley from Sinuwa. Sinuwa is the last proper village of this area. We can take small tea break here to enjoy the magnificent views. Onward our trail continues downhill and gradually to Bamboo after Khudighar crossing jungle, Bamboo forest and few field terraces and we reach Bamboo. We will have lunch here and enjoy whole day by wandering around here. Overnight at the lodge with full board.
Day 09: Bamboo – Deurali (3230 m)
Our trek will start after breakfast and our trek goes slightly uphill through the bank of jungle to Dovan and Himalaya Hotel in about three hours of walking. During the day we will enjoy the different animals like languors, Snow-leopard, Deer etc. We will pass several water-falls before Hinku cave. After Hinku cave the trail goes uphill passing the stone beds. Before reaching Deurali there might be some landslide and avalanche need to be careful while walking. We will have a lunch and whole day rest at Deurali. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 10: Deurali – ABC  (4130 m)
We will continue the trek after breakfast and the trail goes and trail goes further to Bagar and Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). The trails is quite narrow somewhere and gradually uphill. It is better to pass this area quite quick in the morning because this is the avalanche risk area and as well as rock fall. After 2: 30 hrs we will reach to MBC and the views of the mountains will be just amazing and you can see first view of Annapurna I. We will have small ta break and continue to ABC. From here we will go through the lovely valley and can see beautiful views of different mountains.  You will be excited to go up and you would love your every step. It takes about two and half hour to reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). We will have the lunch and after lunch we will explore our time to different mountain peaks. You can see beautiful sunset view over the mountain. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 11: ABC - Bamboo (2310 m)
It will not be easy to say good bye to ABC but we must leave here after the breakfast. We will walk back to Bamboo with the previous route. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 12: Bamboo – Jhinu Danda (1780 m)
We will walk back by same way till Chhomrong and the trail will split to Jhinu and Kimrong Khola. From Chhomrong the trail goes steep downhill to Jhinu Danda where we will spend a night. We will take our lunch there. After lunch we will walk down to Modi river  to explore Hot spring. We can take bath at natural hot spring and there are small pools. We will come back to hotel after bath. Overnight at lodge with full board.
Day 13: Jhinu Danda – Nayapul – Pokhara
We will continue our trek through the bank of Modi River. We will pass New bridge, Kyumi, Kyauli and goes down to Syauli bazar. After this the trail flattered to Birethanti and we will stop here for lunch. After lunch we will walk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara, Check in to hotel and explore the lake. Overnight at hotel on B/B
Day 14: Pokhara – Kathmandu 
Drive or fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel on B/B
Day 15: Final departure to Kathmandu airport or further program according to flight schedule.
