Manaslu Trekking in Nepal
Trekking in Manaslu is considered one of the most challenging and adventurous treks in Nepal. Manaslu is the 8th highest (8156 m) mountain in the world. The route was opened for trekking in Nepal in 1991 but only accommodated organised camping treks. Since 2004, many tea house have been established to accommodate a wider range of trekking options. There are now tea houses in nearly every village along the route negating the need to camp. Manaslu region offers a wide array of trekking options. The region is characterised by sub-tropical foothills in the valleys of the Himalaya to arid Trans-Himalayan high pasture bordering Tibet.
