Tamang Heritage Trek
Tamang Heritage trek is newly opened trekking route in popular Langtang trekking region. This trekking route covers culture, religion and daily lifestyle of Tamang community of Langtang region. It is of total 15 days trekking including 1 day rest although we designed for 18 days including the time in Kathmandu. It is a combine home stay and lodge trekking package. This can be organized with only home stay and lodge for a small group size. If the group size is bigger we need to use camping gears to operate the Tamang Heritage Trek.
Tamang heritage trek is located at north of Kathmandu. It is an interesting trek through Tamang villages and their settlements. They are descendants from Tibet and have hardly seen any tourist earlier. Their culture is virtually untouched.
A mild climate, and friendly hospitable inhabitants which makes it the ideal trek almost year round. The 1,710 SQ km Langtang National Park hosts a variety of natural splendors, from lush valleys alive with red pandas, snow-leopard, langur monkeys etc. to the towering fir and rhododendron forests bursting with spring colour. In the month of March and April Rhododendron forests have many different species of trees, birds and butterflies. Tamang Heritage trail trek is special for those trekkers, who would like to see traditional and untouched heritage, custom and lifestyle of indigenous Tamang people.
During this trekking, you can discover rough history of Tibetan ancestors. Their descendants are Buddhists and living on agriculture and trade. They dress colorful and their houses are adorned with beautiful woodcarvings. The views of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains will be unforgettable.

Rules and Regulations
Langtang National Park entry permit, Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) is compulsory to Trek on this route. If you hire guide we will have more knowledge about the local costumes as well as porters will support you to trek light.
