Namche Bazar is the most significant place for any trekker and hikers. Which was only the trade center in Nepal through Tibet for a long period. Every Saturday they are running an open market for the living-hood around this area.
In order to buy basic needs such as clothing, foods, logistics and other raw materials people gather here. Nowadays, many shops are also available at Namche Bazar but earlier they had to live with the week by week shopping.
A further step from Namche you can also enjoy famous and popular Tengboche monastery.
The monastery has also the Mani Rimdu festival every year and which also falls on the ninth month of the Tibetan Lunar calendar and according to the modern calendar in late October.
